1. Applicable product

This program should only be used with the following CLIÉ Handheld models.

q       PEG-NZ90 (UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands and via the Internet)

2. Description

This program updates the System regarding the following issues:

- Play MP3 files with Audio Player from Memory Stick Pro Media

- Record sound with Voice Recorder to Memory Stick Pro Media

- Play sound with Voice Recorder from Memory Stick Pro Media

- Connect to PC through MS Import, Export

- Enable Save/Write with Memory Stick Compatible Applications

- Record movie files with Movie Recorder to Memory Stick Pro Media

- Play movie files with Movie Player from Memory Stick Pro Media

Warning: This module doesn't enable playback of ATRAC3 files recorded onto Memory Stick Pro Media with SonicStage.

3. How to Install

Please follow the steps below to install the PEG-NZ90 MS Pro Update Program on your CLIÉ.

Make sure that the Palm Desktop for CLIÉ software is installed on your PC and that both your CLIÉ handheld and your PC are configured to perform a HotSync operation. For the detailed information about HotSync, please check the CLIÉ "Read This First" manual provided with your unit.

The PEG-NZ90 MS Pro Update Program requires approximately 408 KB of free memory on your CLIÉ handheld in order to be installed. Before installing this application, confirm that there is enough memory available. If there is not enough memory available, uninstall unnecessary applications from your CLIÉ handheld.

To check for available memory on your CLIÉ Handheld:

  1. Tap the "Home" icon

  2. Tap the "Menu" icon, and select "App"

  3. Tap "Info" from the App drop-down list

  4. Tap the "Size" icon at the bottom of the screen

  5. Tap the "Done" button to exit

Then:

  1. Download file MSPro_NZ90.prc to your computer.

  2. On your PC, launch the Palm Desktop for CLIÉ software.

  3. Click on the Install icon.

  4. When the "Install Tool" window is displayed, select the desired username from the user list.

  5. Click the Add... button.

  6. Navigate to the location where you saved file MSPro_NZ90.prc, select it and click on "Open".

  7. Click the "Done" button.

  8. Place your CLIÉ handheld on the cradle and press the HotSync button. The HotSync operation will be performed and the required update file will be installed. Click the "Done" button to finish the update operation.

4. Confirming successful installation

On your CLIÉ handheld:

  1. Tap the "Home" icon on your CLIÉ handheld.

  2. Tap the "Menu" icon and select [App] -> [Info].

  3. In the Info window, tap the "Version" button.

  4. Scroll down the list and confirm that the version numbers are as follows:
