1. Applicable product

This program should only be used with the following CLIÉ Handheld models.

q       PEG-NX70V (UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands and via the Internet)

q       PEG-NZ90 (UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands and via the Internet)

q       PEG-TG50 (UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands and via the Internet)

2. Description

This program updates CLIE Viewer to the version 1.1; the following features have been added:

- Improve CLIE Viewer functionality speed
- Added Setup Dialogue

3. How to Install

Please follow the steps below to install the CLIE Viewer Update on your CLIÉ.

Make sure that the Palm Desktop for CLIÉ software is installed on your PC and that both your CLIÉ handheld and your PC are configured to perform a HotSync operation. For the detailed information about HotSync, please check the CLIÉ "Read This First" manual provided with your unit.

CLIE Viewer Update requires approximately 624 KB of free memory on your CLIÉ handheld in order to be installed. Before installing this application, confirm that there is enough memory available. If there is not enough memory available, uninstall unnecessary applications from your CLIÉ handheld.

To check for available memory on your CLIÉ Handheld:

1. Tap the "Home" icon

2. Tap the "Menu" icon, and select "App"

3. Tap "Info" from the App drop-down list

4. Tap the "Size" icon at the bottom of the screen

5. Tap the "Done" button to exit

Then:

1. Download file CLIEViewer11.prc to your computer.

2. On your PC, launch the Palm Desktop for CLIÉ software.

3. Click on the Install icon.

4. When the "Install Tool" window is displayed, select the desired username from the user list.

5. Click the Add... button.

6. Navigate to the location where you saved file inst_CLIEViewer11EU.prc, select it and click on "Open".

7. Click the "Done" button.

8. Place your CLIÉ handheld on the cradle and press the HotSync button. The HotSync operation will be performed and the required update file will be installed. Click the "Done" button to finish the update operation.

4. Confirming successful installation

1. On your CLIÉ handheld:
     Tap the "Home" icon on your CLIÉ handheld.

2. Tap the "CLIE Viewer" icon.

3. Tap the "Menu" button and select [Option] -> [About CLIE Viewer]. The "About CLIE Viewer" box is displayed.

4. The version on the bottom of the screen must be CLIE Viewer version 1.1.
